Q=thermal energy

m=mass

c=specific heat

∆ T=temperature difference

"Calculate the thermal energy of a substance whose mass is 3kg and specific heat is 0.038J/kg°C. The temperature difference of this system is given as 60°C?
Solution:

 
From the question, it is clear that,
m = 3kg, c = 0.038J/kg°C, ΔT = 60°C
The formula for thermal energy is
Q = mcΔΔT
Q = 3××0.038××60 = 6.84J"
